1.4. All warranty claims for Products purchased from Voltride.com are handled in accordance with the Võlaõigusseadus, Tarbijakaitse seadus (the Consumer Protection Act), and other applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Estonia.

4. Rights Granted Under the Warranty
4.1. Under this Consumer Warranty, the consumer is entitled, during the warranty period, to request free repair or replacement of the Product in the event of a manufacturing defect, at Voltride’s discretion, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
4.2. If the Product is replaced during the warranty period, the warranty duration of the replacement Product shall be covered by a new warranty period of the same duration as the original warranty.

5. Warranty Service for Bulky or Heavy Products
5.1 Scope – Bulky or Heavy Products
For the purposes of this warranty, bulky or heavy Products include, in particular:
• e-bikes,
• e-scooters,
• electric unicycles,
• electric skateboards,
• Onewheel,
• and similar small battery-powered vehicles
Due to their size, weight, and transport complexity, warranty service for such Products may be fulfilled without requiring return shipment, where permitted by applicable law.
________________________________________
5.2 Mandatory Diagnosis and Approval
Before any warranty repair, replacement, return, or shipment of the Product, the Consumer must allow Voltride to carry out mandatory remote diagnostics.
Remote diagnostics may include, but are not limited to, information and materials reasonably provided by the Consumer at Voltride’s request, such as:
• photographs or videos of the Product and the alleged defect,
• error codes or system logs,
• written descriptions of the defect,
• confirmation of usage and maintenance history,
• inspection by a local professional service provider, if requested by Voltride.
The Product must not be shipped to Voltride without Voltride’s prior written approval.
Shipments made without such approval may not be reimbursed.
________________________________________
5.3 Disproportionate Burden
Where the cost of transporting the Product for warranty service would be disproportionate in relation to:
– the value of the Product or
– the cost and nature of the required repair,
Voltride may fulfil its warranty obligations through alternative remedies in accordance with applicable law.
For the purposes of this warranty, transport or shipment costs refer to the total costs required to fulfil the warranty remedy, including any return shipment, onward shipment, or shipment of a replacement Product or parts, where applicable.
Transport costs may be considered disproportionate in particular where return shipping materially exceeds the cost of repair or replacement.
________________________________________
5.4 Alternative Warranty Remedies
Subject to applicable law, Voltride may satisfy its warranty obligations for bulky or heavy Products through one or more of the following remedies:
a) repair of the Product by an authorized local service partner approved by Voltride or by the manufacturer;
b) reimbursement of reasonable repair costs approved in advance by Voltride;
c) shipment of spare parts from Voltride to the Consumer or to an approved repair partner, where such shipment is technically feasible, legally permitted, and does not impose a disproportionate burden in relation to the value of the Product or the cost of the repair. In particular, the shipment of batteries may be restricted or impracticable due to dangerous goods regulations or carrier limitations, in which case Voltride may, in accordance with applicable law, choose an alternative remedy;
d) replacement of the Product;
e) refund of the purchase price.
Where replacement of the Product or refund of the purchase price is granted due to a lack of conformity, Voltride shall arrange or reimburse the reasonable and approved costs of returning the Product, unless return transport would impose a disproportionate burden in relation to the value of the Product or the nature of the defect, in which case Voltride may choose an alternative remedy in accordance with applicable law.
The choice of remedy shall be made in accordance with mandatory consumer protection law.
________________________________________
5.5 Transport Costs
Voltride shall cover reasonable and approved transport costs necessary to fulfil the selected warranty remedy.
Transport costs may be considered unreasonable or disproportionate where they substantially exceed the cost and nature of the required repair or are disproportionate in relation to the value of the Product.
In assessing proportionality, Voltride may take into account the total economic impact of the transport required to fulfil the warranty remedy.

6. What Is Not Covered by the Warranty
The warranty does not apply to defects, damage, or non-conformities that are caused by, result from, or are attributable to any of the following circumstances, actions, omissions, or conditions:
6.1 Improper use, environmental exposure, and user actions
a) water damage, moisture ingress, flooding, or exposure to liquids beyond the protection level (IP rating) specified by the manufacturer;
b) exceeding the maximum load capacity, weight limits, or other usage parameters specified by the manufacturer;
c) use of the Product for commercial, professional, rental, delivery, competition, racing, stunt, or similar purposes, or participation in competitions or events involving abnormal stress or usage beyond ordinary consumer use, unless explicitly permitted by the manufacturer;
d) improper storage of the Product or its battery, including prolonged storage with a fully depleted battery, storage outside the manufacturer’s recommended state-of-charge range, or storage under unsuitable environmental conditions;
e) improper charging, including charging outside the manufacturer’s specified temperature range, charging with wet connectors or charging ports, charging immediately after riding where prohibited by the manufacturer, or use of non-approved charging equipment;
f) use of the Product outside the manufacturer’s specified operating temperature range, including riding or operating the Product in extreme cold or heat where such use is restricted or excluded by the manufacturer;
g) use of the Product beyond the manufacturer’s defined service life, mileage limits, or comparable usage thresholds, where such limits are specified and the defect is attributable to such use;
h) failure to follow the manufacturer’s operating, charging, maintenance, safety, or storage instructions;
i) any other misuse, neglect, or abnormal use of the Product that is inconsistent with its intended purpose or the manufacturer’s instructions.
6.2. Normal wear and tear
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear resulting from ordinary use of the Product. This includes, but is not limited to, consumable and wear-prone components such as tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, discs and other brake components, chains, shifters, cassette, derailleur, belts, bearings, suspension components, grips, pads, bumpers, cables, housings, seals, switches, cosmetic finishes, and similar parts. Damage to tyres, inner tubes, rims, or valves caused by incorrect, insufficient, or excessive tyre pressure is considered normal wear and tear and/or improper maintenance and is not covered by the warranty. Maintaining tyre pressure within the range specified by the manufacturer is the responsibility of the Consumer.
6.3 Modifications and unauthorized repairs
The warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from tuning, modification, alteration, or repair of the Product or any of its components by unauthorized persons, including electronic, firmware, software, or mechanical modifications. Replacement of consumable parts that does not require opening the Product body is excluded from this restriction.
6.4 Battery range disclaimer
The warranty does not cover reduced battery range resulting from normal usage conditions such as temperature, load, terrain, riding style, battery aging, or other external factors.
A warranty claim may be considered only if the reduction in battery range clearly and significantly exceeds normal variation under comparable conditions.
6.5 Technical specifications
Technical specifications such as ride distance, climbing ability, or other performance characteristics depend on usage conditions and are provided for comparison purposes only. These values are not guaranteed and cannot, by themselves, constitute a warranty claim.
6.6 Causation principle
The exclusions set out in this Section apply only to defects or damage that are causally linked to the relevant circumstance or action. The warranty does not exclude coverage for unrelated defects that are not attributable to the excluded conditions.

7. Continued Use of a Defective Product
7.1. If the consumer becomes aware of a defect, the Product should not be used further.
7.2. If the Consumer continues to use the Product after becoming aware of a defect and such use aggravates the defect or causes additional damage, Voltride is not liable for the additional damage caused by continued use.
________________________________________
8. Maintenance Requirements
8.1. To ensure the validity of this warranty and the good condition of the Product, the Product must undergo regular maintenance as required by the manufacturer, typically:
• at least once per year, or
• after the first 300 km, and
• every subsequent 1000 km thereafter.
8.2. In addition to regular scheduled maintenance, the Consumer is responsible for ensuring that the Product is inspected, serviced, or repaired without undue delay if any malfunction, abnormal noise, warning indication, performance issue, or other condition arises that may affect the safe or proper operation of the Product. Failure to promptly address such issues may result in additional damage, which is not covered by the warranty.
8.3. Battery and charger safety is critical. If the Consumer becomes aware of any defect, malfunction, abnormal behaviour, overheating, unusual smell, smoke, swelling, error indication, or other safety-related issue involving the battery, charger, or charging system, the Product must be stopped from use and charging immediately and placed in a safe location where it cannot pose a risk to people or property in the event of a battery fire caused by thermal runaway. The Consumer is required to seek inspection or repair without undue delay.
Any damage, injury, or loss resulting from continued use or charging of the Product after such safety-related issues have become apparent, including fire damage or property damage, is not covered by the warranty and remains the responsibility of the Consumer.
8.4. Maintenance must be carried out by an authorized service partner, such as Voltride Service, or an equivalent professional service provider.
8.5. Failure to perform regular maintenance may affect warranty coverage to the extent that the defect is caused by lack of maintenance.
